Just getting started!

I got the fabric with part I and partII in the mail on Friday. Plan on putting everything together today so I can start working on it during my lunch hour at work. I really think I am going to do this over one. Can't wait to get it kitted up. I will post pics here and on my blog Porcupine Needle.

Keep on stitching. XxxXxxX

I need your help..

I started stitching the alphabet using WDW's Tabacco Road; what do you all think of it? I like it; but I'm asking for your option. I'm not gonna stitch on the alphabet anymore til I get some of your options.. Thank you..

Finished

I finished up my sampler on Friday and enjoyed every stitch.  it was such a great piece to work on -  here is a snap of it completed -

It is stitched on the recommended WDW 35 ct Confederate grey linen - 2 over 2 using mostly the recommended flosses.  My changes where - the grass - in GAST Dried Thyme, the key - in GAST Grecian Gold and the alphabet - in GAST Kale (a limited edition colour).

Finally finished

Well here it is in all her glory. I was able to wrap it up yesterday late afternoon and then enjoy studying upon it all evening. I LOVE IT. I might add I am proud to have finished it in good order too, staying focused on one project at a time helps that situation. It is obvious that I need to use something other than my iPhone to take the pictures though. You get the idea.....it's a keeper. I did order the frame that Brenda used in her pattern and I do believe it will be perfect. My start date was May 15 - July 24 and man did it use a lot of Kudzu! This was stitched on 35 ct with 1 strand of WDW on the Confederate Grey fabric called for in the pattern.

Hello from France

I'm Lhise, 38 y/o and I live near Bordeaux, France.

I received the Birds of a Feather chart (Part 1 and 2) last week.
Now I must order the last part.

I stitch on 36 count Zweigart (Mushroom)
with the original colours of Weeks Dye Works threads.

Sorry for the mistakes. My knowledge of English are rather low.

Part III

Hello everyone. Good Monday morning. I was so excited to start this post because I have embarked on this new blogging experience AND I have a picture to add! :) Corny I know but for someone who has cross stitched for the better part of my life, this is all new to me. I love it. So here it is; I picked up my piece at the LNS on Saturday and stitched on it ALL day yesterday. I know when I typed that I thought the same thing....is that all she could accomplish in one day but the answer to that is yes, that is it. But I am convinced I could have a finish by the weekend. Will keep you posted.

July 15, 2011

This is my very first blog post EVER! I will post a picture on the next entry. I have completed through Part II and my piece is hanging at the LNS to entice stitchers to jump in on the fun. I have loved stitching this piece and enjoyed the excitement of the mystery. All our guesses were wrong about Part III but I love what was revealed. It is going to be so much fun to to finish this beauty.

Slow but sure...

I was off work the past 2 days and was able to get some stitching done; I worked some on it tonight and only have the bottom 2 red flowers to do; then I can start on part 2. Can't wait to see part 3. (please excuse the wrinkles)

A Little More Stitching

I finished up the border and started to work on the tree and leaves. Here is a snap....

I think I am going to change up the floss colour of the letters - but I am sure what to yet - I will wait to see what the 3rd part looks like first.

Part 2 complete

Finished part 2 and can't wait for part 3 to be released.
I did make a minor change though. I replaced the Straight Stitch for the eyes of the birds with a French Knot.
